Supporting youth development and related activities is the most important concern of the Germans in Upper Silesia.

In the last few years, numerous youth organizations have developed, such as: dance ensembles, sports clubs, student fraternities as well as local chapters of the German Minority's Youth Association. Young people also get involved in political life. A group of students formed the "Youth Faction of the German minority", which discusses relevant topics with political representatives.

These groups concentrate on the local realization of their immediate region and its concerns.
